Returning once again to Elvington Airfield, this year’s Autumn Lights 2025 brought together everything that makes the event an incredible spectacle, but this time, I attended with my camera to capture it properly.

Held on October 27th, 2025, the event blended the thrill of a large scale funfair with an explosive fireworks show, complete with live music and headline performances. I took the opportunity to experiment with handheld long exposures, creating dynamic motion blurs of spinning rides and neon lights. The kind of hypnotic energy you can only feel at night under the fairground glow.

One of the biggest highlights was Dick & Dom’s headline DJ set, delivering a high energy performance between the two main firework displays, complete with on stage visuals, pyrotechnics, and crowd interaction.

The event was packed with visitors enjoying an incredible range of food stalls, from pizzas to fish and chips to gyros, though prices were definitely on the higher side! The ride lineup was equally impressive, with towering thrill machines lighting up the horizon for miles around. I managed to brave the Waltzer and Spinning Disc, both classics that never disappoint.

Alongside the stills, I created a short cinematic reel that captures the motion, colour, and atmosphere of the evening perfectly, from the blinding strobes of the rides to the shimmering fireworks overhead.
