Kairos Press Shoot – Duality of Day and Night
Press photography for Kairos (Dan Watson), co-founder of Bunker Events, captured in York on 12th October 2025. A visual story of light and shadow, day and night — from Bass House to Techno, Kairos to Revolt.
Captured on Sunday 12th October 2025, this evening press shoot for Dan Watson, known artistically as Kairos, explores the duality at the core of his creative identity.
Co-founder of Bunker Events, Kairos represents balance: the calm precision of Bass House by day, and the shadowy pulse of Techno by night, under his darker alias Revolt. This concept drove the visual tone of the shoot, transitioning from the golden sunset warmth around York’s historic streets into deep, cinematic blue tones as night took hold.
The series features locations throughout York, chosen purposefully to connect the artist’s musical evolution with the city’s architectural heritage. Iconic backdrops such as York Minster and the city’s medieval lanes frame Kairos as both rooted in local history and pushing into the modern underground.
Each frame reflects a different layer of his persona. From composed and introspective daylight portraits, to mysterious, nocturnal scenes underscored by urban light and shadow.
This session not only served as a press shoot for upcoming promotions and media use, but also visually introduces the Revolt identity, hinting at a harder, industrial sound to come.
