On the 23rd of May 2025, Bunker Events launched its first-ever official night: Inception, held at Bluebox York. This was the culmination of months of planning, branding, and creative energy, and the payoff was huge.

It was also a personal milestone: my first time performing in an actual nightclub, and my debut on the Pioneer DJM V10 (LF model). A powerhouse of a mixer that, admittedly, took me a minute to adjust to as a scratch DJ (that missing crossfader and wonky effects know caught me off guard!). But once things got rolling, it was pure magic.

The night opened with YesWebbo from Polyphonic Events, setting the tone with a warm blend of funk, disco, and afro house under the red glow of the Bluebox lighting. Dalby followed, bringing a groove-laden minimal house and deep tech set that primed the crowd perfectly. Then came CHAZ, taking the decks to drive the energy up. Deep house rolling into speed garage and pure energy. Finally, Kairos closed out with a surge of bass house, pushing the Funktion One system to its limits and bringing the night to a euphoric close at 3AM.

The event was a total success. An incredible atmosphere, a packed dancefloor, and a very healthy cash outcome that made all the effort from the Moors promo shoot and branding launch feel so worth it.

Inception didn’t just mark the first night of Bunker. It set the tone for everything that’s coming next.
