A breathtaking natural spectacle captured above the skies of Coneysthorpe, North Yorkshire. These long exposure photographs document a rare appearance of the Aurora Borealis in England, displaying vibrant greens, pinks, and purples dancing across the night sky.
The two panoramic images were carefully composed by stitching together several exposures in Adobe Lightroom Classic, producing high-resolution photographs that reveal extraordinary depth and colour accuracy. The top horizontal image is an 81-megapixel composition. It showcases incredible detail and tonal range, bringing out the subtle transitions within the aurora’s light bands.
This project reflects both technical precision and creative patience, combining atmospheric conditions, timing, and post-production craftsmanship to capture one of nature’s most elusive displays, away from surrounding light pollution in Coneysthorpe, North Yorkshire.
